State Projects

 

ADULT SEMINAR:    A program for teachers and adult students, vocational and avocational be heard by an evaluator, participate in small group seminars, and if desired, to perform on a recital program  at MTAC State Convention.

CALIFORNIA PLAN:    An in-service program to aid Provisional members in meeting requirements for active status and to provide continuing education for active members.

CERTIFICATE OF MERIT:    A plan of study, evaluation, and certification for students, through State authorized testing.  Awards include honors performances at both the Branch and State level.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH:    A project organized through the Branch and involving more than one studio.  $200 project grants are available to assist branches to "Reach Beyond Themselves" into their communities.  These projects can embrace many things, for example: music in the schools, high school music scholarships, music in retirement and nursing homes, concerts given by the Branches to the community, and support given to community music organizations, i.e., community orchestras, choral groups, concert series, and youth orchestras.

COMPOSERS TODAY:    A program fostering compositional activity for teachers and students at all levels of ability.  Entrants may choose to compete or simply receive evaluation.

PIANO CONCERTO/SOLO:    A competition in a professional setting for either piano concerto or piano solo, with prizes furnished by the Piano Technicians Guild, and opportunities to perform at the MTAC State Convention.

SCHOLARSHIP LOAN FUND:    Application can be made to the State Committee for College Scholarship assistance for members.

VOCE:    A project for Vocalists, Orchestral Instrumentalists, Chamber Music and Ensembles (including Sonatas for Piano with other instruments) to inspire top students toward highest achievement and performances at MTAC State Conventions.
